Remembering Notorious B.I.G (21 May 1972 – 9 March 1997)

Today is the 15th year anniversary of the greatest rapper Notorious B.I.G’s passing. His music is as potent today as it was when he burst onto the hip hop scene with his lyrical mastery and indelible flow. The fact his  albums continue to sell are testimony to his talent.

Biggie’s feud with one time friend Tupac and their brutual murders defined the negative aspects of hip hop. However, it also became a watershed on beefs between rappers escalating to fatal proportions.

Biggie is a music icon and he is remembered among the greats. It would have been beautiful to see him progress and grow as an artist and a man.
